Step by Step, the fundamentals presented in “The Junior Drummer” unfold into a complete series of interesting preparatory studies and solos for the young percussionist. Wilcoxon covers the basics of technique and rhythm through introductory rudimental material paired with accompaniment from the feet. Edited by Wilcoxon student and Juilliard graduate, Robert Matson, this edition updates the method so that it may be suitable for the needs of today’s drummer.
