Composer’s Note:

This hymn is commonly known in the liturgy as “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today”. Thus, these hymn variations are suitable for performances especially during the Easter Season. The title of this hymn as offered in the Unitarian Universalist Association hymnal “Singing the Living Tradition” is “Lo, the Earth awakes again”, adapting the words of Samuel Longfellow to the traditional tune.
