The Uplift Mofo Party Plan is Red Hot Chili Peppers third studio album and the only one to feature the original lineup of Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Hillel Slovak, and Jack Irons. Released in 1987, it documents a band tightening its blend of funk grooves and punk urgency into a more focused, band-driven sound.

The single Fight Like A Brave channels that energy into a direct statement of purpose, while Behind The Sun reveals a more melodic side that would surface more fully on later records. Elsewhere, Me And My Friends stands as a defining early anthem, balanced by the loose, playful feel of tracks like Funky Crime. Pressed here on vinyl, it captures the group at a pivotal moment before their next evolution.
