Edmund Siennicki offers this special set of three original dances for either concert strings or strolling strings. Each movement can stand alone as a concert selection, but the set makes a distinctly colorful stylistic treat with smooth segues into each section. “Fiesta Espaol” is rhythmically and melodically exciting, using the augmented second and “Carmen-like” figures. “Waltz Viennese” adds a touch of Strauss-like elegance, while “Ballet Francaise” is a raucous delight. Students will thoroughly enjoy the vivid color and energy of this fine work.
