Composer’s Note:

For flute and hand drum or foot stomps, The Irrevocable Pull of Gravity may be performed by two people or by a single soloist. The flute performs a melodic line, straining to fly away, while the drum (or stomp) represents the pull of gravity. The music reflects the inner conflict between limitless imagination and mundane reality.
