The Allman Brothers Bandis the groups debut studio album, introducing the twin-guitar interplay of Duane Allman and Dickey Betts alongside Gregg Allmans blues-rooted songwriting. Recorded at Atlantic Studios in New York, it established the core sound the band would expand on in the years that followed.

Whipping Post closes the record with a tense, shifting arrangement, while Dreams stretches into a slower, more open-ended performance. Its Not My Cross to Bear brings Gregg Allmans vocal and organ work to the foreground. This edition is presented as a 2-disc vinyl set.
