This lively and thematic selection utilizes repeated moving eighth note figures that provide an excellent opportunity for technique building at this level. Inspired by Vivaldi’s “Spring” (Concerto No. 1 in E major, Op. 8, RV 269), Springing serves as an excellent conduit to the exploration of the original masterwork. The joyous melody and buoyant texture conjure images of the season’s earliest blooming flowers making it a perfect choice for spring concerts!
