Spirit by Willie Nelson is a late-1990s studio album that strips his songwriting down to a spare, intimate setting. Built largely around Nelsons voice, guitar, piano, and fiddle, the record stands apart from his bigger-band work with a quiet, reflective focus.

She Is Gone and Im Not Trying to Forget You Anymore frame the albums sense of loss with plainspoken restraint, while We Dont Run adds a steadier note of resolve. This edition is available on CD.
