Sonic Nurse is Sonic Youths thirteenth studio album, following *Murray Street* and continuing the bands early-2000s period with Jim ORourke in the lineup. The record extends that eras emphasis on long-form guitar interplay and more open, spacious arrangements.

Pattern Recognition sets the album in motion with a taut, driving attack, while Unmade Bed and Dripping Dream lean into the bands more melodic side without losing their restless guitar textures. I Love You Golden Blue slows the pace into a more reflective close to the sets final stretch. This edition is presented on enhanced CD.
