One Size Fits All by Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention is the final studio album credited to the Mothers, released during Zappas mid-1970s run of tightly arranged, jazz-inflected rock records. Recorded with a band that included George Duke, Ruth Underwood, Chester Thompson, and Napoleon Murphy Brock, it captures one of Zappas most technically agile touring lineups in the studio. Inca Roads opens the album with a surreal vocal narrative and intricate ensemble writing, while Po-Jama People turns a blues-rock frame into something more angular and dryly funny. Sofa No. 1 and Sofa No. 2 bookend the records instrumental and vocal sides of the same recurring theme. Available on CD.
