Reviews:

a modern celebration

the highlights for me are the Husa Symphonyand Shrudes brief, colorful Into Light, which manages to squeeze a symphonys worth of music into 3-1/2 minutes.

Only four minutes long, but making up for duration with grandeur of orchestration, the work is a study in texture. Shimmering, even searing sounds from the orchestras upper timbres are juxtaposed against more brooding tones from below. One has a sense of a continual unfolding or, perhaps, a musical blossoming.
