Icon is a concise Sublime compilation drawn from the bands studio catalog and early recordings. Its 12 tracks capture the groups blend of reggae, punk, dub, and pop-minded songwriting without attempting a full career overview.

Badfish highlights their laid-back reggae side, while Date Rape carries the sharper attack of the early material. Santeria and Wrong Way represent the tighter, more melodic songwriting of Sublimes self-titled album. This edition is presented on CD.
