Dynasty found KISS entering a new phase at the end of the 1970s, following the four solo albums released by the band members the previous year. The album broadened their hard rock foundation with a sleeker studio sound, reflecting the pop and disco currents moving through rock radio at the time. I Was Made for Lovin You became the records defining single, while Sure Know Something brought a melodic, late-night pull to the albums softer side. Ace Frehleys take on the Rolling Stones 2,000 Man and the Peter Criss-sung Dirty Livin round out the sets shifting personalities. Available here on CD.
