The comforting Scottish hymn “Brother James’ Air” is uniquely set in this reflective arrangement by Carrie Lane Gruselle, who surprises the listener by using “Amazing Grace” as a partner song later in the work. The beautiful melody weaves its way throughout the ensemble as the piece develops and moves toward a powerful key change. Glorious! (3:30)
