When jazz bass virtuoso Paul Chambers recorded his 3rd and final album as a Blue Note lead, Bass On Top, he was already well established. Brilliantly seductive, it features Hank Jones (piano), Kenny Burrell (guitar) and Art Taylor (drums). Features a chamber-jazz interpretation of Jerome Kern’s “Yesterdays” & a swinging version of “Dear Old Stockholm,” a tune often associated w/ Miles Davis. Blue Note Tone Poet Series features all-analog, remastered 180-gram vinyl in deluxe gatefold packaging.
