Adams’s Amazing Grace, written in 1992, is the composer’s personal response to the more widely known version of the song, and expresses optimism for a bright future.

Lyrics (excerpt)

Amazing grace you fill my heart with song

A song of love that lasts the whole day long!

Amazing Grace surround me with the strength of your caress,

Renew my trust that I’m forever blessed.
