John Coltranes Coltrane for Lovers is a compilation released in 2001, drawing from recordings made between the late 1950s and mid-1960s across his Prestige and Impulse! years. The set gathers some of his most lyrical performances, focusing on ballads and standards that highlight a more intimate side of his playing.

Selections like My One and Only Love and his Duke Ellington collaboration In a Sentimental Mood emphasize tone and restraint, while After the Rain reflects the spiritual direction of his later work. Tracks such as You Dont Know What Love Is and Nancy (With the Laughing Face) further show how he reshaped familiar material into extended, expressive statements. This edition is presented on CD.
