Hello World: The Motown Solo Collection by Michael Jackson is an expansive retrospective of his early solo recordings for Motown, capturing the material he released between Jackson 5 commitments in the early 1970s. Spanning multiple albums and sessions, it traces his development from child star to a more assured young vocalist, rooted in Motown soul and pop craftsmanship.

Songs like “Got to Be There” and “Ben” mark his first major solo breakthroughs, while “Rockin’ Robin” leans into a playful pop sensibility and “We’re Almost There” points toward the more mature direction of his later Motown work. The set gathers hits, deep cuts, and original mixes into a comprehensive 3-disc CD collection.
