Gold is a career-spanning Sublime compilation that draws from the bands studio albums, early recordings, dub experiments, and posthumous releases. Its 44 tracks trace the groups progression from the rough-edged blend of punk and reggae on 40oz. to Freedom to the tighter songwriting of their self-titled album.

What I Got and Santeria represent Sublimes most widely recognized melodic side, while Date Rape captures the sharper attack of their early material. Badfish remains a defining example of the bands reggae-rooted songwriting, and Doin Time closes the collection on a languid, sample-driven note. This edition is presented as a 2-disc CD set.
