Every A-side and B-side The Who released, collected across five CDs: 85 tracks presented in chronological order.

It begins before they were even The Who, with “Zoot Suit” and “I’m The Face” issued as The High Numbers in 1964, and runs through the whole singles career: “I Can’t Explain,” “Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere,” “My Generation,” “Substitute,” “I’m A Boy,” “Happy Jack,” “Pictures Of Lily,” “I Can See For Miles,” “Pinball Wizard,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” “Squeeze Box,” “Who Are You” and on.

The B-sides are the argument for the set. Pete Townshend used the flip side as a laboratory, and John Entwistle used it to smuggle in the strangest songs in the catalogue. Hearing each single as originally issued, both sides in sequence, tells a very different story from any hits compilation.

The five discs are housed in individual sleeves inside a box with a 48-page booklet. Both stereo and mono mixes appear as appropriate to the original releases.
