James Murphy’s The Glue Method for Drum Set Soloing is the key to gaining freedom and flow while soloing on the drum set. As a professor at Berklee College of Music and a private instructor to students across the globe, James teaches students the Glue Method to achieve the ability to spontaneously connect ideas quickly and effortlessly while soloing, to gain musical freedom, and to stay connected to the composition in the moment.

With The Glue Method for Drum Set Soloing, James now presents his method to you in book/video form. James will guide you through his drum set soloing steps of development, page by page, with accompanying tutorial videos, that are available for stream or download. The Glue Method incorporates different stickings with hand-foot combinations and introduces different accents and orchestrations across multiple rhythmic subdivisions. All of the patterns, combinations and exercises are designed to improve your musical awareness and phrasing on the bandstand.

You are only a practice routine away from becoming a creative and effective soloist, coming and going freely in and out of the groove, or leaving the groove and creating a solo based on an endless stream of ideas. Having the Glue Method in your bag will elevate your soloing and give you new tools of musical expression!

The Glue Method is 70 pages with accompanying video tutorials which are accessed online.
