Composed in 1999, Binnette Lippers Bagatelles for Piano represent a broad range of moods and subjects, and all are light in spirit. A bagatelle is a small gift, and in this case, a musical offering. The titles of these bagatelles call to mind universal experiences and are meant to provoke the imagination: Adventure, Dalliance, Impudence, Reminiscence, Spatial Relations, Whimsy, and Zephyr.
