Even if you’ve never so much as touched a musical instrument before, this tried-and-true guide will have you strumming away in no time. Professor J. Kalani Peterson, an expert instructor, shares his simple methods for teaching yourself to play the ukulele. His explanations are so complete and accurate that you don’t need any musical background to learn how to read musical notation. You’ll also find essential details like how to tune and hold the instrument.
In addition to many exercises and scales to practice, the book includes explanations of important musical terms and a repertoire of more than a dozen songs, including “Aloha Oe,” “Auld Lang Syne,” “La Paloma,” and other favorites.
