Ruth Anderson’s small Sonatine, for flute and piano, is a charming beginning work that introduces the student to several of the musical tendencies of the 20th Century while remaining firmly grounded in near-traditional tonality and melodic material. In three movements: I. Dance, II. Petite Waltz, and III. Rondino.
